Games to Help with Bullying...

Good-Bye Bully Machine Card Game

by Debbie Fox & Allan Beane (2010, Free Spirit, 12.99)
[See Discounts and Free Shipping option at bottom of page]

As players talk and learn about bullying--what it is, what it feels like, and how to stop it--they work together as a team to break apart the cold, mean Bully Machine. You will find this game works great with kids and teens. You can use it to play in groups, one-on-one with an adult, or independently. Includes 60 playing cards and an easy-to-use instructions booklet. Based on the book, "Good-Bye Bully Machine." Grades K-5.

BullySafe Game!

by Franklin Rubenstein & Andrea Chorney (2009, Franklin Learning, 24.95)
[See Discounts and Free Shipping option at bottom of page]

Based on a systems approach to bullying, this card game stresses that everyone can make a difference when it comes to bullying--whether they are a Target, a Bystander, or even a Bully. Grades 5-8.

Bullies to Buddies

Edited by Franklin Rubenstein (2001, Franklin Learning, 49.95)
[See Discounts and Free Shipping option at bottom of page]

Players have fun while learning that all students can stop bullying…whether they find themselves in the role of the target, the bystander, or the bully. The point of the game is that all students must take a stand against bullying. For example, the target (intended victim) can use assertiveness skills to discourage bullying. If bystanders are present during the bullying or know about it beforehand, they can take action to discourage it. Regardless of when they learn about it (before, during, or afterwards), all bystanders can refuse to give the bully the status, popularity, and power that he/she is looking for. Grades 2-5.

Bully Free Card Game

by Allan Beane (2005, Free Spirit, 12.99/cards)
[See Discounts and Free Shipping option at bottom of page]

This game plays like Crazy Eights, so most kids will have some familiarity with the process. The cards are divided into four categories: What Would You 'Do If…," "Self-Esteem Boosters," "Ways to Stay Bully Free," and "Why Should You Do This?" Kids get rid of cards (and move closer to being "out," or "bully free") by offering reasonable suggestions and responses to questions. Pack of 60 cards...for 2-5 players or teams. Color. Includes 12-page fold-out insert. Grades K-8.

Bully-Buster Bingo

by Heidi McDonald (2004, MarCo Products, 17.95)
[See Discounts and Free Shipping option at bottom of page]

This book presents 26 techniques for reacting to bullies through the familiar game of bingo. Includes an eight-lesson leader’s guide with reproducible activity sheets, 30 reproducible bingo cards, and reproducible calling cards. The included CD provides PDF files of the activity sheets and color bingo boards for easy reproduction. Print as many or as few boards as you need. At the end of the game the students may keep the cards as a reminder of the bully-bustin’ techniques presented in the game. Or the cards can be collected and re-used. Grades 2-7.[8.5” x 11”....72 pages]

Dr. PlayWell's Don't Pick on Me Game

Lawrence Shapiro (2005, Childswork/Childsplay, 49.95)
[See Discounts and Free Shipping option at bottom of page]

Each player is assigned an area of the board—the classroom, the school bus, the cafeteria, or the hallway. Players must get rid of the bullies and protect the victims in their area of the school by answering true/false questions about the nature of bullying. There are two levels of play: for younger kids, and older kids, and a Bullying Quiz to assess how much children learn. For 2-4 players. Grades 1-7.

We're one of those old-fashioned companies with real toll-free telephones—and real people to answer them. It will not be an accident that your books will arrive in perfect condition.
