Based on the popular game Crazy Eights, this lively card game delivers fast-paced fun while helping kids become aware of their unique and special qualities. Players draw, match, and shed cards, answering questions as they go. (For example: "Would you choose yourself as a friend? Why or why not?") Because only half of the cards include questions, the game moves along at a brisk pace. Special cards-Switch Direction, Leap, and Wild Cards-introduce an element of surprise. Players race to get rid of their cards and be first to proclaim "One of a Kind." For added excitement, the rules provide a way for quick-thinking players to jump in at the last minute and keep the game alive. After each round of play, smiles abound--because kids are not only having fun but also feeling better about themselves. For 2 to 4 players. Grades 1-6.

Totika is a wood stacking game like no other! While trying to keep the stack from falling over, players draw cards and answer questions about personal growth, self-esteem, and life skills. All questions are open-ended so the game can be played in a wide variety of settings. As players concentrate on pulling and placing blocks, they tend to have fun, relax, open up, and answer questions…sometimes with humor and sometimes from the heart. Either way, the result is a fun communication game that is focused on building self esteem and personal growth. The game comes with the Self-Esteem card deck (described here), which includes questions about setting and achieving goals, facing challenges, internal/external sources of motivation and present or emerging personal talents and skills. We also pack around the books with plenty of clean paper to keep the books from moving. And, when the order is ready to ship, we'll stamp the box with our traditional red "HANDLE WITH ENTHUSIASM" stamp.
