Starting School...

The Kissing Hand

by Audrey Penn (2007, Tanglewood Press, 12.95/with CD)

When Chester the raccoon is reluctant to go to kindergarten, his mother teaches him a secret way to carry her love with him. This book will help any child who will be temporarily separated from home. The audio CD includes a reading and an original song. Color. Grades K-2. [8.5” x 10.5”...30 pages]

First Day Jitters

by Julie Danneberg (2000, Whispering Coyote Press, 6.95)

Sarah asks herself the usual first-day-at-a-new-school questions: Will they like me? Will I make friends? That is, until she builds up enough courage to face her fears and hit the halls. Everyone will relate to Sarah’s feelings and laugh out loud when they find that Sarah is the new teacher at the school. Color. Grades K-4. [8” x 10”...32 pages]

The Invisible String

by Patrice Karst (2000, DeVoss & Co., 16.95/hardback)

A very simple approach to overcoming the fear of loneliness or separation. Here is a warm and delightful lesson teaching young and old that we aren't ever really alone and reminding children (and adults!) that we are loved beyond anything we can imagine. "People who love each other are always connected by a very special String, made of love. Even though you can't see it with your eyes, you can feel it deep in your heart, and know that you are always connected to the ones you love." Color. Grades PreK-5. [10” x 10”...36 pages]

Keep in mind... Just because you don't see a particular book described above, doesn't mean we don't have it available. Send us a note (paperbacks@usmo.com), we'll give you pricing and availability.

We're best known for three things...

__The way we pack (very carefully)
__The way we ship (25.00 = free)
__The way we discount (up to 15%)

We take shipping seriously... Books, DVDs, and CDs are shrink-wrapped on a heavy piece of cardboard, and then packed in a heavy-duty box, or in a padded mailing bag.

Games are packed in heavy-duty boxes with plenty of padding around all sides of the game.

When an order is sealed and ready to ship, we stamp the package with our, "HANDLE WITH ENTHUSIASM," stamp.

Our customers tell us... That we are pretty good at what we do. And we ought to be! We've been dispatching books, DVDs, CDs, and games to all corners of the U.S. since 1978. It will not be an accident that your order will arrive in perfect condition. We will make sure of it!
