Election Day is today, marking the last day for voters to cast a ballot.

There are 38 polling locations throughout Coconino County that will be open for voters from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. Those in line at 7 p.m. will not be turned away and will still be allowed to vote.

Voters must bring a valid form of an ID.

There 24 voting locations that are precinct-specific, and 15 that allow any voter, regardless of precinct to vote. The  () offers a link to search for precinct locations based on the address connected with a person's voter registration.

The Flagstaff Aquaplex, East Flagstaff Library, the Museum of Northern Arizona, South Beaver School, and Coconino Community College are among some of the locations specifically in Flagstaff city limits.

Places outside of Flagstaff city limits include Tuba City High School, Ponderosa Fire Station No. 82, Kaibeto Senior Center, and the Munds Park Community Church among others. Coconino County’s website has a list of all polling locations with exact addresses and precinct numbers.

Absentee ballots that have not been mailed in yet should be dropped off at a at a polling site rather than sending it through the mail. The deadline to send in a ballot by mail has already passed and the vote would not count. Drop boxes will be located at every polling site, and additional boxes will be located on the Navajo Nation as well. At the Coconino County Recorder's Office, there is a drive-up ballot drop off service open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

In order to be counted, mail-in ballots must be signed on the yellow envelope.

The ballot is 19 inches and the longest ever in the county. The Coconino County Elections Office encourages voters to look up and research everything on the ballot before arriving to decrease wait times. Voter turnout is expected to be high.

Any Coconino County resident is eligible to vote if they are 18 years old or older and registered to vote by Oct. 7. Same-day voter registration is not available.

There are special voting machines at all locations for voters with disabilities. The voting machine can also read to someone in a different language if it is needed. Poll workers should be made aware of the accessibility requirements.

Be sure to follow the directions carefully while filling out the ballot to ensure the vote is counted.
