EPA cancelling environmental justice grants, Washington Post reports

U.S. Environmental Protection Agency is in the process of canceling almost 800 grants, including all aimed at promoting environmental justice, the Washington Post reported on Tuesday, citing comments by an agency official in a court filing.

The number of grants slated for cancellation is twice the amount previously reported, the Post reported. The filing marks the first public acknowledgement by the agency of the total number of grants slated for termination, the newspaper reported.
