FlagShakes boldly goes where no Bard has gone before with "Klingon Hamlet," a thrilling fusion of Shakespeare’s most iconic tragedy and the intergalactic intrigue of "Star Trek." The emperor is dead. His brother now sits on the throne -- married to Hamlet’s mother. On the edge of a star system in mourning, young Hamlet must choose: rise up and restore honor, or descend into madness across the final frontier?

Thanks to fully operational universal translators, audiences will experience every legendary monologue in perfect English -- but with phasers, Bat’leths and a whole lot of Klingon flair.

Adapted by Keath Hall and Eric Darling-Bond, this production is part Shakespeare, part sci-fi and all epic.

Four performances only at Beaver Street Theatre -- don’t miss this limited-run mission.

Join FlagShakes for a free, compelling staged reading of “A Life in Two Murders, an original play by Dawn Tucker that unearths a haunting family history through the words of those who lived it. Based on the actual transcripts from two coroner’s inquests, this play brings to life the true story of Hattie Briggs, the playwright’s great-great aunt, whose life and death were marked by violence, scandal, and the rough edges of early 20th century Butte, Montana.

In 1931, Hattie Briggs was found murdered in Butte’s notorious Cabbage Patch. But her name had already been whispered in saloons and union halls a decade earlier, when she was implicated in the suspicious death of a city councilman and scab who had recently come into a small fortune. Through testimony, rumor and official record, “A Life in Two Murders pieces together the fragments of a woman’s life at the margins -- and the turbulent world that both shaped and condemned her.

This intimate staged reading will feature a cast of local performers breathing new life into the historical figures whose words were once sworn for the record.
