2025 is on March 8 and is a day to celebrate women’s achievement. Viva La Femme is a multi-venue festival celebrating all things femme happening in downtown Flagstaff. It kicks off at Cornish Pasty with an art market starting at 3 p.m. and then music, poetry, comedy and drag performances from 6 p.m. to midnight. Performers include Sleep Stampede, Plant Cree, Lydia Gates and more. For the next stops, head to Mountain Top Tap Room for singer and songwriter performances, or Yucca North for bands and DJs beginning at 8 p.m. Lastly, Flagstaff Brewing Company will host EDM artists from 9 p.m. until close. DON’T MISS DEBUTS

The Orpheum Theater is hosting film world premieres this month, complete with red carpets and all! First, the award-winning motorcycle film “Angels of Dirt� will premiere on Saturday, March 8. Doors open at 6 p.m. and the showing will begin at 7 p.m. Director Wendy Schneider shot the film over the course of 17 years, following the life of Charlotte Kainz who grew up on the track and was born for racing. “Angels of Dirt� contains a mix of home movies, race footage and compelling interviews, making it a diverse documentary that will inspire and move audiences. The second film, “The Chase,� will premiere the following Saturday on March 15, doors at 5 p.m. and the show at 6 p.m. This feature length film by Dylan Harris shares a story of five athletes as they take on the 2024 Cocodona 250 race, a 250-mile ultramarathon through Arizona. “The Chase� captures moments of triumph, setbacks, resilience and grit, filled with cinematic shots of beautiful landscapes and challenging terrain. Spring break is around the corner, and while it’s nice to have some respite from school and homework, boredom has a chance to sneak in. Take the time off as a chance to explore creativity and expand knowledge on all things science, art, history and more! Both Coconino Center for the Arts (CCA) and the Museum of Northern Arizona (MNA) are offering a week of workshops during the school break. will take place from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., March 10 through 14. Each day will explore a new discipline, including drawing and painting, theater and dance, ceramics and sculpture and fiber and textiles. These themes are a sampler of CCA’s summer sessions. The camp costs $350 per camper and is for ages 5-11.
