Arizona Snowbowl announced its plans to stay open until June 1 thanks to a combination of snowmaking and 200-plus inches of snowfall this season.

The extended date matches the record set last year, when the resort was also open until June 1. In 2023, the resort was open daily through April for the first time in its history thanks a season with 386 inches of snow.

Snowbowl will be open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on May 17 and 18, May 23-26 for the Memorial Day weekend and May 31 and June 1. Like last year, the Arizona Gondola will be the only lift spinning -- which means access is only being offered to advanced terrain.

Lift tickets start at $19 online and include $10 in Bowl Bucks, which can be redeemed at any resort-owned outlet for food, drinks, retail or rentals. Equipment rentals also start at $19 online, and children 12 and younger ski and snowboard free for the entire season.

During the Memorial Day weekend, Scenic Gondola rides will also be available for non-skiers. The Arizona Gondola transports guests to 11,500 feet, the highest lift-served point in the state, offering panoramic views of the Coconino National Forest, the San Francisco Peaks, and the Grand Canyon. Scenic ride tickets start at $29 and include $10 in Bowl Bucks.

The National Weather Service has a slight chance of snow in the forecast on Sunday night, though rain showers are more likely. After that, temperatures are set to return to the mid-70s by the start of next week.
