Coconino County Superior Court is collaborating with multiple other organizations to offer services at the Navajo Nation District Court in Tuba City at 240 S. Main St. on Friday, March 21, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., local time.

The event will offer Tuba City residents and nearby areas access to services without needing to travel to Flagstaff. The Coconino County Elections Department, Recorder's Office, and Health and Human Services (CCHHS), along with Victim Witness Services of Northern Arizona (VWS) will be participating.

The Superior Court will provide walk-in services and conduct hearings starting at 10 a.m. It will be able to assist with quashing outstanding warrants, applying for marriage licenses or passports, filing documents, reviewing court records and paying any outstanding Superior Court fines or fees. Any payments would need to be made with cash, money order or a cashier’s check.

The attorney’s office will have applications available for marijuana conviction expungement, and VWS will provide intakes and offer information about services available to victims of crime.

“The Coconino Superior Court and the Criminal Justice Coordinating Council (CJCC) are pleased to provide increase access to justice with our Justice Bus event in Tuba City on March 21,� said CJCC Director Dianna Kalandros. “This event will allow people to participate in certain types of hearings and provide necessary Superior Court services without having to travel to Flagstaff."

CCHHS staff will be available from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. to provide information and application assistance for the programs and services available to Coconino County residents, including rent payment assistance, utility payment assistance and Narcan, which is a rapid treatment for the effects of opioid overdose.

Elections staff will be present with information about voting, election equipment and how elections are managed in the county. The Recorder’s Office will have voter registration materials and staff to answer questions about this process.
