The Coconino County Manager’s office was made aware of a potential scam targeting county residents and property owners.
Residents reported receiving an email from “Coconino County Planning and Zoning Division regarding an “outstanding application review and renewal fee associated with a conditional use permit application for their property, as well as an attached PDF invoice for payment.
The County Manager’s Office reminds residents that conditional use permits, as well as all planning and zoning matters, are administered by the County’s Community Development Department. Community Development also does not generate invoices for payment or communicate past due notices via email. All legitimate email communications from Coconino County staff or elected officials will come from an “@coconino.az.gov email address.
Residents who might have received similar fraudulent communications are asked to contact Community Development at (928) 679-8850.
