The City of Flagstaff will celebrate Independence Day in 2025 with a free drone show to cap off a full day of events including the annual Fourth of July parade.
The Celebrating America’s Freedom Drone Show will launch from east Flagstaff after sunset, giving visitors and residents an approximately 25-minute display, which can be enjoyed from a variety of locations around town.
Locations around Flagstaff to view the free drone show include Buffalo Park (2400 N. Gemini Drive), Moonshot (2225 N. Gemini Drive), the Flagstaff Aquaplex (1702 N. Fourth St.), McMillan Mesa Natural Area (1140 Ponderosa Pkwy.), Joel Montalvo Park (2211 E. First Ave.), The Basin BMX Freestyle Facility (1700 E. 6th Ave.) and Hal Jensen Recreation Center (2403 N. Izabel St.)

Additional events on Fourth of July weekend include the parade hosted by the Greater Flagstaff Chamber of Commerce and Nackard Pepsi in downtown Flagstaff from 9 to 11 a.m, the Downtown Mile presented by Team Run Flagstaff and the Greater Flagstaff Chamber of Commerce, with the first wave of runners taking off at 6:30 a.m. and a free performance by the Flagstaff Symphony Orchestra at the Pepsi Amphitheater, with doors opening at 2 p.m. ahead of the 3 p.m. concert.
On July 5, downtown Flagstaff's Movies on the Square will include live music at 5 p.m. and other activities before the film “Tangled" begins at dusk in Heritage Square.
Additionally, Art in the Park, a locally owned festival featuring arts and crafts designed and shown by the artists, will take place over the Fourth of July weekend in Wheeler Park from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, as well as 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday.
