The Northern Arizona men's and women's track and field teams were voted most likely to win the 2025 Big Sky outdoor track and field titles.

The polls, which the conference office announced Thursday, were voted on by the league's head coaches in the 2025 Men's and Women's Outdoor Track and Field Coaches' Polls.

On the men's side, the Lumberjacks claimed eight out of the 10 available first-place votes ahead of Montana State, which was picked second with the remaining two first-place votes.

On the women's side, the Lumberjacks were picked first with nine out of 10 available first-place votes. Montana State claimed the other first-place vote.

The Lumberjacks have won four consecutive outdoor Big Sky titles and scored 240.5 points at last year's championships. After winning both the men's and women's titles in cross country and indoor track and field, the Lumberjacks are looking for their third calendar sweep in the last four years.

The Big Sky Conference championship meet will take place May 14-17 in Sacramento.

The men's team has five All-Conference performers returning to the championship this year: Colin Sahlman, Kyle Smith, Cael Grotenhuis, Tyson Givens and Garret Bernt. There are five returners from the women's team as well in Kyairra Reigh, Maggi Congdon, Anna Fenske, LiNay Perry, Karrie Baloga and Sariyah Horne-Kemp.

The Lumberjacks have a break from competition this week and will split squads next week. The distance runners will head to the Stanford Invitational in Palo Alto, California, and the sprinters, jumpers and throwers will all compete at the UNLV Rebel ELITE in Las Vegas April 4 and 5.
