Specific roads in Flagstaff’s Crestview and Presidio neighborhoods will be fully closed to all traffic for four hours on Tuesday, June 10, the city announced.

The closures are part of the annual Road Repair & Street Safety project. Contractor C & E Paving and Grading will be applying a sealant to the roadways to prolong the life of the asphalt, and that sealant must be allowed to dry before any traffic -- including pedestrian or bicycle traffic -- can resume. The city described the sealant as “extremely sticky until it dries.

The affected streets are:

  • Josselyn Drive, Wright Road, CJ Drive, Bruce Balle Drive, Pantano Seco Lane, Pepita Drive, Paz De Avenida, Tex Lane, Camel Drive, and Pardo Calle in the Presidio neighborhood â€ closed from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m.
  • Windtree Drive, Alamo Drive, Hare Drive, Putnam Drive, Talley Lane, and Millis Lane in the Crestview neighborhood â€ closed from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m.

The city warned that residents who need to travel during the closures should park their vehicles outside of the streets being worked on.
