Vacated by the closure of Coco’s Bakery, the empty restaurant location at the corner of South Beulah Boulevard and West Forest Meadows Street will soon have a new tenant.
The Porch, based in the Valley with locations in Arcadia, Tempe and Gilbert, posted a banner with an expected opening date of spring 2025 on the fencing that surrounds the former Coco’s Bakery location.
The Coco’s location closed this summer after originally opening in early 1994.
According to Coconino County records, the property was sold by Hsuan Partnership to 360 Forest Meadows LLC for $2,450,000 on April 1, 2024. The address for 360 Forest Meadows LLC is the same for Edgehill Investments, which lists The Porch’s Arcadia location among its portfolio. Other investments by the firm include Black Mountain Lofts on Fort Valley Road, which was acquired in May 2018, and Timberline Place on Soliere Avenue -- which was acquired in March 2018.
Royale Jelly Hospitality, which began in 2017, oversees all three of The Porch’s current locations and collaborates with another restaurant group in running Mother Tucker’s Tavern in Scottsdale. Royale Jelly Hospitality’s website describes The Porch as “a neighborhood joint that functions as a gastropub and sports bar.
The original location of The Porch opened in Arcadia in November 2017, with the Tempe location opening in early 2020 and the Gilbert location in early 2021. A fourth location was also announced for Queen Creek in June.
