Jerry Culver Thompson was born Nov 9, 1937 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to George M Thompson and Dorothy C Thompson. His family moved around a lot and landed in Texas when he was about 5 years old. Jerry had 3 siblings, Mickey, Rick and Suzie. Jerry met the love of his life Dina "Dino" Teal Slovack in high school. They were married for 64 years. They had two daughters, Kimberlee Teal and Samantha Lynn. Jerry watched the Kansas City Chiefs' whole season with his daughters the year the Chiefs and Lenny Dawson won the Super Bowl. When we lived in Texas, Jerry drove the whole family once a year to New Mexico or Colorado to go skiing. Jerry completed a Bachelor's degree in psychology from Saint Edward's University. The family moved to Arizona in 1978 and Jerry worked for Child Protective Services for 17 years. As empty nesters Jerry and Dino loved to travel and camp, traveling to Oak Creek Canyon for their anniversary and to dozens of countries. Jerry is survived by his daughters, grandson, two siblings and various nieces and nephews.
Jerry spent six years in the Air Force Reserves.
We will scatter his and his wife's ashes in Oak Creek this spring.
