Alex Noren had a great start and then had to wait until the end for a strong finish. It added to a 66 and a two-shot lead in the Butterfield Bermuda Championship. Noren had 11 straight pars after his great start. Two birdies toward the end of his round allowed him to set the tournament record at 15-under 127. He leads by two shots over Ryan Moore, Satoshi Kodaira and Ryan Brehm. Moore is at No. 140 in the FedEx Cup. Two weeks remain for players to finish in the top 125 and keep full PGA Tour cards next year.
Ryan Brehm was having a solid round in the Valspar Championship. One swing made it a memorable round. Brehm made a hole-in-one on the 17th hole. That led to a 66 and gives Brehm a three-way share of the lead with Stephan Jaeger and Adam Schenk. Jordan Spieth is in the group one shot behind. Spieth only hit five fairways.
Chris Kirk's last win on the PGA Tour was nearly eight years ago. He has put himself in a position to change that at the Honda Classic. Kirk battled his way to a 4-under round of 66 on Saturday, putting him at 13-under 197 for the week and giving him a two-shot lead over Eric Cole (66) through three rounds at PGA National. His last win on tour was at Colonial in 2015 180 tournaments ago. He's a four-time winner on tour, played in the Presidents Cup in 2015, and has been waiting to hoist a trophy again since.
