The Northern Arizona football team had 21 recruits sign national letters of the intent for the 2025 season on Wednesday. The class features 12 players from California, eight from Arizona and one from Nevada.
There are 11 players on the defensive side of the ball, including five defensive backs, two linebackers and four linemen. On the offensive side, the Lumberjacks welcome 10 new players, including five offensive linemen

The Lumberjacks finished the 2024 season with a record of 8-5 (6-2 Big Sky) and made the FCS Playoffs for the first time since 2017.
Men's basketball
Northern Arizona (6-3) dropped an away game against the Oral Roberts Golden Eagles (3-6) in Tulsa, Oklahoma, on Wednesday, 83-76.
Guard Trent McLaughlin played 40 minutes, scoring a team-high 24 points for the Lumberjacks.
Lumberjacks forward Carson Towt closed out the night with his fifth double-double performance of the season -- and 13th of his Northern Arizona career -- with 17 points and 16 rebounds. Guard Jayden Jackson also added 17 points.
The Lumberjacks fell behind late and didn't hit a shot from the field in the final three minutes of play.
Northern Arizona will host South Dakota on Saturday in Rolle Activity Center at noon.
