US thrashes Sweden to advance to world championship final

STOCKHOLM � Team USA hammered co-host Sweden 6-2 on Saturday, to advance to Sunday's final of the International Ice Hockey Federation World Championship.

USA could get its first gold medal at the tournament in more than 90 years.
