Masters of Brewtality genuflects to the Flagstaff Station Market Café's sammies and shandies

Ahh, October is upon us, boils and ghouls, and with it comes our favorite holiday down here in the crypt: Halloween! Our usual feature this time of year is a rundown of recent ghost stories from our three most haunted bars here in beautiful Flagstaff: The Weatherford, Monte Vista and the Museum Club. But we’ve done that article every year since this macabre column began, so this year, the freaks and geeks here at MOB thought it’d be fun to switch it up. This decision came mostly because we finally found a booze slinging spot that we hadn’t been to before, and the prospect of taking on a new watering hole was just too good to pass up. But, never fear, you can always take a trip to the three aforementioned haunts and find your own story. Just beware, there’s always a chance you too could become a permanent resident!

Onto the feature! Nestled off the side of the road on the 180 as you’re headed to Snowbowl, the Flagstaff Station Market Café is something you’ve probably passed a million times without a second thought as to what wonders might lay inside. We certainly did. To us, it always seemed like it was still, somehow, a Late for the Train coffee shop even though that hasn’t actually been there for years now. We’ll chock that up to the global plague and mindwarp that was the grim COVID times.
