Jennifer Nordstrom is an accomplished Certified Public Accountant (CPA), entrepreneur and mentor dedicated to transforming the accounting experience for individuals and small businesses. As the Owner and Lead CPA of Jen Nordstrom Accounting, she has redefined traditional accounting by creating a strategic partnership model that integrates financial education, planning and advisory services into the tax process.
After 17 years in traditional accounting firms, Jennifer realized her passion lay in working more closely with clients to provide proactive, year-round support. She launched Jen Nordstrom Accounting in 2022 with a mission to help clients smooth financial peaks and valleys, implement advanced tax planning strategies and gain full control of their financial futures. Her innovative approach has tripled the firm鈥檚 revenue in just three years, leading to an expansion and the hiring of an all-female staff, including a tax supervisor and a career-transitioning tax accountant.
A dedicated mentor, Jennifer takes pride in guiding employees and fellow professionals toward success. She helped her tax accountant, Tanya, transition from a 30-year career in social services to a fulfilling role in accounting. She also co-led a Lean Six Sigma process improvement project that increased revenue, improved efficiency and enhanced the overall tax season experience for both employees and clients.
Beyond her firm, Jennifer is a committed community leader. She serves as Treasurer and Board Member for multiple organizations, including the High Country Humane Society and Moonshot at Northern Arizona Center for Entrepreneurship and Technology, where she supports entrepreneurship and financial sustainability efforts. She has also served in leadership roles with the Greater Flagstaff Chamber of Commerce, Arizona Society of CPAs, and Friends of Coconino County Parks.
Jennifer鈥檚 advocacy extends to the National Alopecia Areata Foundation, where she has led support groups, organized fundraising events and mentored individuals facing the challenges of this autoimmune condition. She is now working to establish a support group in Northern Arizona.
