BASIS Flagstaff is a K-12 charter school committed to offering its students high-quality education from rigorous curriculum to vibrant student life. At the start of this academic year, the school opened up its new weight room, continuing its mission to provide students with an advanced curriculum.

Last summer, two history teachers at BASIS who are passionate about fitness started brainstorming on how to expand not only their previous weight room, but also how they can implement exercise science classes to go hand-in-hand. It took them three months to get the initial layout of the room. For classes, they worked with other teachers to incorporate content into the curriculum.
