After scoring three runs in the first to take an early lead, the Continental Little League Pinstripes erupted for five runs in the fourth to secure the 2024 AAA City Championship on Saturday at Mark Grace Field, winning 9-4.
The West Flagstaff Little League Serpientes opened the final game with a run in the first inning with an RBI single, but a two-run single for Sam Shaw and a bases-loaded walk by Jackson Dawson put the Pinstripes in front 3-1 after the first inning. Though the Serpientes tied the game at 3-3 in the top of the third thanks to a walk and wild pitch, Dawson walked again in the bottom of the inning and came around to score to retake a 4-3 lead.
