Former NAU women's head coach Loree Payne makes swift transition to Santa Clara

After almost eight years with the Lumberjacks, women's basketball head coach Loree Payne has left Northern Arizona to coach at Santa Clara.

Before Payne’s arrival, the women’s basketball program had been experiencing losing records and was consistently missing the postseason. Payne quickly turned the program around and recorded six winning seasons in conference play in her seven years with the team.
