Alicia Pacheco Motter elicits joy at Atria

“Baking and cooking with the seasons has helped me to tap into the human experience in a real visceral way,� says Alicia Pacheco Motter, the pastry chef at Atria. “Working in an open kitchen with a chef’s counter like Atria, I get to see the guests� reaction and elation when they can end their meals with a fun treat.�

Pacheco Motter’s love for sparking joy through creating sweets and baked goods started at an early age. As a teenager, she became interested in cakes and enrolled in a community college course that changed her life.
