Alejandro's begins legal efforts against Hopi Tribe, Sterling Real Estate Management following downtown arrival of Baja Mar

The arrival of Baja Mar Seafood Cuisine in the heart of downtown Flagstaff filled the void at one of the city’s more prominent business spaces, but it also has led to concerns for a neighboring restaurant that resulted in a civil filing with Coconino County Superior Court.

Alejandro’s Mexican Food, nearing its fourth anniversary at its location in Heritage Square, named four parties in a petition for discovery before an action is filed on Jan. 2, just days after Baja Mar opened its doors on the corner of N. Leroux Street and E. Aspen Ave. Listing the Hopi Tribe Economic Development Corporation, Sterling Real Estate Management, Baja Mar Seafood and Matty G's Steakburgers as the four requested respondents, the hearing for Alejandro’s filing took place on Feb. 3 before Coconino County judge pro tempore Brent Harris.
