Arraignment for man charged with second-degree murder in Lake Mary crash scheduled for Monday

Scheduled for an Oct. 21 arraignment on multiple charges, including second-degree murder, 65-year-old Christopher Jon Hands of Phoenix remains in custody at the Coconino County Detention Facility on a $500,000 bond following his initial appearance on Oct. 7.

The case was shifted to Coconino County Superior Court on Oct. 10 following an indictment on charges of second-degree murder, leaving the scene of a fatal injury, DUI and reckless driving in connection to the death of 66-year-old Richard Alan Swendsen of Prescott.
