1924: Sen. Ralph Cameron, the chief opponent to the sale of the Bright Angel Trail, refused the invitation of the Flagstaff Junior Chamber of Commerce to defend himself and his reasons for the opposition Wednesday evening at an open meeting called for the discussion of the sale of the trail.
