Coconino's Lucie Whiting (4) passes during a chilly and windy match against Odyssey Institute on Thursday, April 3, at Coconino High School.

The first two weeks of April have been a mix of hot and cold in Flagstaff, with the snow to begin the month followed soon after by a few daily record highs this past week.

Just eight days after the daily high reached only 34 degrees, tied for the 33rd-lowest daily high ever in the month of April thanks to the 4.3 inches of snow that fell across two days, April 10 and 11 become two of Flagstaff's six hottest days in the first half of the month. In addition to surpassing their all-time daily highs of 74 and 75 degrees, respectively, Thursday and Friday’s high of 76 landed behind only two days from April 1989 and one from April 1898 in the first 15 days of the month.
