Small wildfire contained near Flagstaff; cause undetermined

Firefighters from the Flagstaff Fire Department and Coconino National Forest successfully contained a minor wildfire near the Bow & Arrow Trail south of Interstate 40 on Monday, April 28.

The fire was initially reported around 11:30 a.m. Three wildland firefighting engines from the Flagstaff Fire Department, a water tender, and a U.S. Forest Service wildland engine responded to the scene. The fire, named the Heart Fire, was eventually contained at a size of 1.3 acres.
