Researchers at Arizona State University are seeking Flagstaff participants for community discussions on the subject of nuclear waste management and siting.
The study, led by assistant research professor Nicholas Weller and funded by the U.S. Department of Energy, is intended to gather public input on how the federal government should work with local communities when making decisions about a possible location for a nuclear waste storage facility. (The study is not attempting to identify a site or host community for such a facility.)
