New homes undergo construction at Presidio in the Pines off Woody Mountain Road in this 2016 file photo. New houses are going up to meet market demand while affordability of homes is climbing out of reach of the average worker in Flagstaff.
During Tuesday’s work session, Flagstaff City Council unanimously voted to adopt a that comes in direct response to the affordable housing emergency declared in December of 2020.
The plan summarizes the city’s immediate and long-term housing needs, and presents policy initiatives and strategies for a path forward.
