Hearing in Flagstaff sting case prompts sharp remarks from judge; one defendant pleads guilty

A straightforward Superior Court hearing turned surprisingly contentious on Wednesday, June 11, when the prosecutor and judge exchanged loaded statements during a discussion of a defendant’s release conditions.

The hearing was part of ongoing proceedings in the case of Kyle Norberto, one of the 10 suspects named by the Flagstaff Police Department from an online sex sting operation conducted in March.
