New task force against human trafficking formed in Flagstaff

Local law enforcement agencies and advocates for survivors of human trafficking announced a new joint initiative on Wednesday called the North Star Task Force: Survivor-Informed Trafficking Awareness and Response.

The task force’s mission, according to a press release, is “to lead with survivor-informed practices, raise awareness, and deliver a coordinated response to human trafficking in northern Arizona.� The announcement comes amid Human Trafficking Awareness Month, which is January.
