Uncertainty persists in Flagstaff area and northern Arizona for federal agencies, employees

The turmoil that has swept northern Arizona’s federal land management agencies since the beginning of the new presidential administration continued apace heading into March.

Terminated employees of the U.S. Forest Service will be reinstated for the time being after a labor review board intervened on their behalf -- a potential step toward a full reversal of last month’s mass firings -- but plans to shutter National Park Service offices also came to light.
