First lady Jill Biden makes campaign stop in Flagstaff, speaking at Pride in the Pines Saturday

As thousands of Flagstaff residents celebrated LGBTQ+ communities during Pride Month at Thorpe Park through the weekend, first lady Jill Biden made a visit to Flagstaff and spoke at the event.

Biden’s speech at the Pride in the Pines festival lasted about eight minutes as she spoke about growing threats to the LGBTQ+ community, and to democracy as a whole, posed by conservative and Republican politicians.

The Secret Service implemented extra security measures at the entrance of Pride in the Pines at Thorpe Park on Saturday in preparation for first lady Jill Biden's visit.
