Poverty with a View: Housing continuum efforts seek to bring options to Flagstaff

JoJo's Place

JoJo's Place on East Route 66 is a transitional housing community that was opened in February 2024 by Housing Solutions of Northern Arizona and consists of 44 furnished studios for households experiencing homelessness in Flagstaff.

Nearly four years after declaring a housing emergency and two years after adopting a 10-year plan to address it, the City of Flagstaff and other local organizations are continuing work meant to address the housing needs of a variety of residents.

The housing continuum is a strategy that covers a range of housing types, from congregate shelters like Flagstaff Shelter Services' primary location to houses for long-term homeowners. It's usually depicted as a set of steps leading from one type of housing to another.
