Flagstaff City Council approves early design for civic space on Phoenix Avenue

The "Southside Grove" sculpture, seen here from the second floor of the Mountain Line administrative building at the Downtown Connection Center, will one day become part of a new civic space replacing the eastern section of the parking lot north of Phoenix Avenue.

Someday, a new civic space similar to Flagstaff’s Heritage Square will be coming to the Downtown Connection Center on Phoenix Avenue located just south of the railroad tracks. And when that space is complete, it will resemble the early design that the Flagstaff City Council endorsed on Tuesday, June 17.

It’ll just have to wait until the long-anticipated is finished.
