Flagstaff rental company required to pay damages and amend policies after housing discrimination suit

A Flagstaff rental company has been required to pay damages and create and implement antidiscrimination policies by the Maricopa County Superior Court as the result of a disability discrimination complaint.

The Civil Rights Division of the Arizona Department of Law filed a complaint on behalf of a tenant of Shirley Ann Enterprises in January 2024. The complaint said the LLC discriminated against the tenant by issuing a nonrenewal of their lease in response to their requested accommodation of living with a service dog.
