With the fire season upon us again, I'm wondering if we have some kind of citywide alarm system telling us to evacuate if that time comes? We are surrounded by forest and have been lucky so far. But I'm not aware we have any citywide alarm system, such as a siren or something like that. Might have to have a system that tells us which direction to evacuate, like north, south, east or west. Maybe four different sirens?
We have seen what happened in Hawaii and California: a fire and a big wind are impossible to put out in time to stop vast destruction.
